Hey my name is Ava Julia! We always wanted to create an outlet for students to share about the arts! Our team is a part of the demographic that are FilAm art students and we wanted to create a world where the youth holds the power. To have the ability to have the platform to talk about topics that may not be conventional to the viewer's mind was something we wanted to highlight at FRITA. I have been studying opera for the last 4 years but aside from the classical stuff, I am here for the culture of being generation z and my pride of being a filipina.

Hey y'all, I'm Alex! I've always been fascinated with the arts. There's a special beauty and intrigue that comes with a beautiful melody or an artwork. I've been involved with the arts, specifically music, since I was young. I started with the cello, then the piano, and now the harp! I have met so many amazing people and how been granted opportunities that I am forever grateful for. I want to help empower other Filipinos to feel seen in the arts.
Hey, I’m Nara! The arts have always been a huge part of my life as they’ve helped me grow, express myself, and connect with others. As a Filipino, I love celebrating my culture through creativity and diving into what I know, like musical theatre and visual arts. But I’m also all about trying new things that push me out of my comfort zone. Whether I’m performing on stage, painting, or exploring something totally new, I’m always excited to keep growing and finding inspiration!

Hey I’m Jia! The arts hold an important place in my heart, and has brought me comfort in times of chaos. Being Filipino, I’ve been involved with music my entire life, yet I only began to recognize its importance when I started highschool. I don’t know where I’d be now if it weren’t for freshman Jia walking into the music department her first day. Music has brought so many wonderful opportunities, and even better people into my life. I am beyond excited to encourage these sentiments throughout my community, and to my fellow Filipino-Americans.
